REMINDER: Last Chance To Watch Richard II Starring David Tennant For Free

Theatre fans have just a few days left to catch the free worldwide stream of the stage recording of Richard II starring David Tennant. A performance of the Royal Shakespeare Company's staging of the play was recorded live from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon in November 2013. It was made available to stream in April 2016 via the BBC Shakespeare microsite, the service set up as part of the celebrations around the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare. The streaming service ends on Sunday 23rd October 2016.

Gregory Doran directs David Tennant in an award-winning performance as Richard, a monarch ordained by God to lead his people, but a man with very human flaws. Richard's vanity and arrogance threaten to divide the great houses of England and drag his people into a dynastic civil war that will last 100 years. The production also stars Nigel Lindsay, Emma Hamilton, Jane Lapotaire and Oliver Ford Davies.
