VOTE: David Tennant & Broadchurch Make The NTA 2016 Shortlist


It's that time of year when viewers get the chance to have their say and honour their favourite TV shows and performers of the last 12 months as the shortlist for the 2016 National Television Awards has been revealed and the final stage of voting is now open.

David Tennant is nominated for Best Drama Performance for his role as DI Alec Hardy in the ITV drama series Broadchurch. He is facing tough competition in the category which will see him face off with Aidan Turner for Poldark, Sheridan Smith for Black Work and Suranne Jones for Doctor Foster.

The second series of Broadchurch is also up for the Best Drama gong where it will do battle with Casualty, Doctor Who and Downton Abbey.

Votes must be cast by 12 noon on Wednesday 20th January 2016.

The results will be revealed that evening at a ceremony hosted by Dermot O'Leary at London's O2 The show will air live on ITV from 7.30pm.
