David Tennant voices The Fugitoid in a new episode of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle premiering on Nickelodeon in the USA today. The half shell heroes with their cyborg ally continue their mission to save the Earth from destruction by the Triceratons.

David Tennant's Hamlet Screened At The Barbican Today

David Tennant's Hamlet is being screened at the Barbican in London this afternoon as part of the Royal Shakespeare Company's Shakespeare On Screen event.

The screen version of the RSC production of Hamlet (2008-9) was filmed on location with the original stage cast and captures the atmosphere and excitement of the orginal stage production. David Tennant reprises his thrilling, mercurial and often very funny central performance alongside the Patrick Stewart as Claudius, King of Denmark. Penny Downie plays Hamlet’s mother Gertrude and Mariah Gale is the tragic Ophelia. Edward Bennett is Ophelia’s avenging brother Laertes, and Oliver Ford Davies takes the role of their father Polonius.

The event is sold out but tickets are still available to see David's recording of Richard II during the Stratford-upon-Avon section of Shakespeare On Screen. Click here for more info.

Third Series Of W1A Is On The Way Says Writer At RTS Event

A third series of the award winning comedy show W1A is now being written, according to the production team. The show's writer and producer were talking about the show at a special event in London tonight. 

The spoof fly-on-the-wall documentary is narrated by David Tennant and follows a fictional BBC management team played by, among others, Hugh Bonneville, Sarah Parish, Jason Watkins, Jessica Hynes and Nina Sosanya. The series was developed as a follow up to the London Olympics comedy Twenty Twelve in order to continue the professional journey of some of the characters.

Writer and director John Morton and executive producer Jon Plowman were in conversation this evening at the ITV London Studios for W1A - The Story Behind The Scenes, an event hosted by the Royal Television Society. Talking about the quality of the show's writing, Plowman confirmed that despite the dialogue appearing naturalistic, the lines were actually all scripted and precisely directed by Morton.

96 Ways To Say I Love You, the comedy short with a twist written and directed by Daisy Aitkens, is now available to watch online.



David Tennant plays Mark in the 11-minute film, one of a number of couples trying to explain the meaning and implications of the phrase 'I Love You', set against the background story of Al and Olive (Joel Fry and Georgia Moffett, who also produced the film) who are trying to pluck up the courage to speak those three words for the first time. With their so-called friends trying to talk them out of it, will they see the task through?

96 Words To Say I Love You also stars Nina Sosanya, Christian Brassington, Helen Carter, Ann Queensbury, Adam Paul Harvey and Ingrid Oliver.

February Start Date For Mad To Be Normal Starring David Tennant

Gizmo Films have announced that shooting will begin on their upcoming feature, R.D. Laing biopic Mad To Be Normal, on 1st February 2016. David Tennant stars in the new UK project, which was previously titled Metanoia, as the maverick Scottish psychiatrist who championed the anti-psychiatry method of treating mental illness, supporting patients instead at a unique community in East London.

Also starring Elisabeth Moss, Michael Gambon, Gabriel Byrne and David Bamber, the film will shoot on location in London and the North of England.

David Tennant Plays His Final Richard II In London Tonight

Tonight will see David Tennant play Richard II for the final time at the Barbican Centre in London.
David returned to the role of the tragic King for just 9 performances during January following on from his original award winning run in Stratford-upon-Avon and London in 2013-14.
He will take his role to New York in March when the production transfers to BAM Harvey Theatre.

David Tennant's Richard II Included In The RSC Shakespeare On Screen Event

During the week of the 400th anniversary celebration of Shakespeare's death, the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Stratford-upon-Avon Picturehouse will present screenings of some of the Company's most admired productions adapted for TV and cinema.

David Tennant's portrayal of Richard II which was recorded at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre back in 2013 will be shown on Saturday 23rd April at 2.30pm.

David Tennant Attends BBC Shakespeare Festival Press Launch

David Tennant has attended a press launch for the BBC's Shakespeare Festival.
The launch included further details on Shakespeare Live! From The RSC the unique event to be hosted by David Tennant at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Directed by Gregory Doran, RSC Artistic Director, the show will include appearances from Dame Judi Dench, ENO, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Ian Bostridge, Joseph Fiennes and Akala. It promises to be an extravaganza, celebrating Shakespeare's words and his enduring influence on all performance art forms - from opera to jazz, dance to musicals.

Talking at the launch, which was held at BBC Broadcasting House in London, David said that his first personal experience of Shakespeare had been in his school gym.
