What We Did On Our Holiday To Boost Scottish Tourism

The producers of David Tennant's new film What We Did On Our Holiday are to support VisitScotland in promoting Scottish tourism. The film, which also stars Scottish comedian Billy Connolly, is due to be released in September.

The new comedy feature from BBC Films was shot entirely on location in Scotland and features some breathtaking Highland scenery, including Gairloch in Wester Ross, Loch Katrine and the Trossachs. Lionsgate UK, the promoters of the film have teamed up with VisitScotland to promote the movie and its locations to prospective holidaymakers. "Our partnership with Lionsgate UK gives us an excellent platform to make the most of this excellent opportunity," said Mike Cantlay, chairman of VisitScotland. "Scotland never fails to look stunning on the big screen, and I'm sure this feel-good film will encourage more cinema goers to come and explore this wonderful country for themselves."

Ross Cunningham, head of marketing at Lionsgate UK added, "The film is a truly fantastic, comedic heart-warmer, and really shows Scotland at its stunning best, with beautifully lavish landscapes that are breathtakingly unique to Scotland."
