USA: Revisit The Doctors With BBC America

In the lead up to Peter Capaldi's debut in Doctor Who on the 23rd August, BBC America will be giving their viewers another chance to learn about his predecessors in the role. On Monday 18th August, the channel will be running a marathon of episodes 1 - 10 of Doctor Who: The Doctors Revisited as part of their Doctor Who Takeover Week.

Doctor Who: The Doctors Revisited is an exclusive series, originally broadcast in 2013 in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the show, which gives an introduction to each of the previous incarnations of the Doctor. Each 30 minute episode covers a single Doctor's era, with clips and features on key companions and foes and contributions from cast and crew members and from the Doctors themselves.

David Tennant contributes to the first five episodes, covering the first five Doctors, and, of course, features heavily in the episode dedicated to the Tenth Doctor. Other guests include Steven Moffat, Neil Gaiman, Caroline Skinner and John Barrowman.

The Doctor Who: The Doctors Revisited marathon begins on Monday 18th August at 8am ET on BBC America. For the full schedule please visit the BBC America website

Doctor Who Takeover Week runs from Monday 18th August on BBC America and includes marathons of the Tenth and Eleventh Doctors' seasons and exclusive specials on the show. The week culminates with the premiere of Doctor Who Season 8: Deep Breath starring Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman on Saturday 23rd August at 8.15pm ET
