Ratings Jump For Comedy World Cup

The overnight TV ratings figures are in and reveal the brilliant news that Comedy World Cup put on over 1 million viewers last night compared with its debut episode last week!

The second episode of the show hosted by David Tennant averaged a significant increase to 1.9 million viewers (including +1), an 8.4% share of all viewers during that time slot. Last week the show managed 810,000 viewers and a 3.6% share. Comedy World Cup goes out in direct competition with BBC1's National Lottery show (3.3million) and the Saturday night behemoth that is The X Factor on ITV1 (8.2 million) making the increased share all the more impressive.

Consolidated figures, which will include viewings via 4oD and recordings will be available in the next week or two.

The next episode of Comedy World Cup is currently scheduled for 8pm on Saturday 29th September on Channel 4
