New Children In Need Video - David Tennant Talks About Nathan And ASGMA

Children In Need have released a new video in which David Tennant introduces Nathan, a young man from Greater Manchester, who has Asperger's Syndrome.

Nathan and his family tell his story and his difficulties with coming to terms with his condition which led him to become isolated and depressed. However, he found support through the Autistic Society for the Greater Manchester Area where he has made new friends and regained his confidence. ASGMA is one of the many project that benefits from funds raised by Children in Need.

Asperger syndrome is a form of autism, a lifelong developmental disorder that causes difficulties with social interactions such as everyday conversations, making friends and working out what other people mean or are going to do. People with Asperger syndrome can also display obsessive behaviours and find it difficult to cope with changes to routines.
