All the while, he entertains us with his reportage and offers us the privilege not only of his profound, inner thoughts, but also of an impartial, outward look into this microcosm of debauchery and selfishness.

Top 200 Sexiest Sci Fi Characters

Image
David's portrayal of the Tenth Doctor has been voted No. 13 in SFX's poll of the Top 200 Sexiest Sci Fi Characters.
His female counter part was Guinevere from Merlin played by Angel Coulby.

SFX say:
Love match? What does Doctor 10 look for in a woman? It’s tempting to say “a pulse”. We’re certain he’d be flirting with Camelot’s queen, and her dalliance with Lancelot proves she has the wandering eye. On the other hand, we also know that in a previous incarnation the Doctor was Merlin, in which case, this becomes one of the weirdest bizarre love triangles in history.

The Pirates! Set Sail In Cinemas Today!

Image
It's an exciting day to day as The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists is released in cinemas across the UK!
Directed by British animation legend and Aardman co-founder Peter Lord and based on Gideon Defoe’s cult novel series, The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists is a delirious high-seas romp starring Hugh Grant as the luxuriantly bearded Pirate Captain, who navigates his salty crew on a perilous mission to Victorian London to aid a young Charles Darwin voiced by David Tennant.

David Tennant says: "What a joy to be part of that. You feel a little bit of a cheat to take any credit for it, but really the stars of this film are the animators. What they can make a piece of plasticine is quite remarkable.""The other day I did my last session on the film and they brought the little model of [my character] Darwin down so I have shaken hands the plasticine me - which was strangely thrilling."

David Tennant Stars In Discovering Hamlet For Sky Arts

Image
David Tennant is part of an exciting new programme for Sky Arts called Discovering Hamlet.
Discovering Hamlet will air on 15th April 2012 at 9.40pm on Sky Arts 2 HD.
Sky Arts say:
Playing the Prince of Denmark is said to be like climbing Mount Everest, calling on brilliance, great stamina and huge vocal resources from the performer. And, like a giant theatrical magnet, the play and its title character have enticed top directors and actors from around the world to bring the drama to life for more than 400 years.

Hamlet is possibly one of the most interpreted roles in theatre history. Through some of William Shakespeare’s most famous soliloquies we watch a man stricken with grief, disgust, and anger battle with his inner demons. But his inaction for revenge is seen as both cunning and cowardly; his madness both genuine and part of a clever plan. So who is Hamlet? And why does the famously introspective character attract such keen attention in the arts world?

“There is just something et…

In The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists, Hugh Grant stars in his first animated role as the luxuriantly bearded Pirate Captain -- a boundlessly enthusiastic, if somewhat less-than-successful, terror of the High Seas. With a rag-tag crew at his side (Martin Freeman, Brendan Gleeson, Russell Tovey, and Ashley Jensen), and seemingly blind to the impossible odds stacked against him, the Captain has one dream: to beat his bitter rivals Black Bellamy (Jeremy Piven) and Cutlass Liz (Salma Hayek) to the much coveted Pirate Of The Year Award. It's a quest that takes our heroes from the shores of exotic Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London. Along the way they do battle with the pirate-hating Queen V…

David Talks To Digital Spy About The Pirates!

David took part in a number of interviews last week to promote his brilliant new movie, The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists!, which is released on 28th March 2012 in the UK.
The latest interview to be released is one that he did with Digital Spy.
Speaking to Digital Spy, David admitted to them that it was an easy decision to sign up for the animated movie:
"I remember thinking, 'This script is going to have to be really bad for me not to do this'," he said. "You just want to be associated with what Aardman do. It's never less than excellent. When I did read the script I thought, 'This is just a joy!'"
And asked if he thought he would make a good pirate he replied: "I'm probably more of a natural fit for the Charlie Darwin type. I imagine I'd be a rubbish pirate, but then they're pretty rubbish pirates so I could work that out."
