Disney's All-New DuckTales: New Photos Reveal Iconic Locations

Image
Gaming site Polygon have posted a set of pictures from Disney revealing locations to be featured in the reboot of the classic cartoon series DuckTales. David Tennant voices Scrooge McDuck in the new animated series, due to premiere sometime this summer, with Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz and Bobby Moynihan bringing the irrepressible trio Huey, Dewey and Louie to life. Last week, Lin-Manuel Miranda was announced to be joining the cast.

The scenes on display include Uncle Scrooge's spooky home McDuck Manor and internal and external views of the infamous Money Pit, the fortress-like store for all of Scrooge's worldly wealth. In addition, there is a new location which moves the series into the modern age - the ultra cool neighbourhood of Silverbeak, a hipster tech hub complete with electric cars.

Look out for Disney XD's DuckTales coming to a TV screen near you this summer! And if you haven't caught it yet, here's the trailer:

Mad To Be Normal Headed For VOD Release

Image
Gizmo Films have stated in response to an enquiry that they are hoping to release Mad To Be Normal as an on-demand video this summer. David Tennant stars as RD Laing in the movie based on the revolutionary psychiatrist's project to treat his patients in an environment free from medication and restrictive practices.

The release will be good news for fans across the world who have not had a chance to see what is being described as one of David's best ever performances. The film, co-starring Elisabeth Moss, Michael Gambon and Gabriel Byrne, was released in the UK earlier this year following a world premiere at the Glasgow Film Festival on February 27th. However aside from a US screening at the Newport Beach Film Festival it has not yet reached international audiences.

Sales agent Double Dutch International are currently presenting the movie at the Marché du Film at the Cannes Film Festival with a view to striking new sales for theatrical release.

A number of screenings are schedu…

VIDEO: David Tennant Reads Undone From Ólafur Arnalds' Late Night Tales

Image
If you haven't had a chance to hear the spoken word track that David Tennant contributed last year to the Ólafur Arnalds curated compilation album Late Night Tales, it is now available to hear on YouTube. David's reading of the Anam Sufi story Undone closes the set of nocturnal mixes and moods.

The Late Night Tales is a series of artist-selected compilations, including exclusive remixes and spoken word tracks for the ultimate late night mix. Since 2001, a diverse mix of artists has taken part, including Arctic Monkeys, MGMT, Metronomy and Fatboy Slim. Standing at the intersection where techno meets classical music, Ólafur Arnalds, the composer of the BAFTA-winning soundtrack to Broadchurch, directs his own Late Night Tales. The label said of his release:

Arnalds’ music has a quietude that seems perfectly apposite and that’s evident here as each song drifts like an autumn wind towards the next. Arnalds has enlisted the help of a few of his countrymen for the journey out west – el…
